Return to Trollheimen
Here we are back at Bårdsgården, setting out for another 9-day tour in Trollheimen. This year's tour started out on familiar ground, but we soon headed west to check out two dramatic valleys leading down to the fjords.
We spent our first evening day with our friends Christophe (foreground) and Karin (in back), their children Niels and Dotter, and various members of Karin's family visiting from the Netherlands. Christophe is French, so their kids are growing up learning French, Dutch, and Norwegian, and English will come later!
Here Christophe and Karin are using randonee or alpine touring ski gear suitable for skiing the steep couloirs that Christophe likes best. That afternoon Rick joined them for a quick ascent & descent of a small peak near Vassendsætra (down by the lake right under Karin's right arm) where we Strazilcheks spent the night.
That night we were treated to a view of the moonrise over Gjevilatnet.
