Our House
Once our vacation was over, we had to face the reality of what we had done: we had to unpack! Here's the living room of our house in Trondheim, with some pictures hung but most of the boxes left to be unpacked. Zoe is barely visible in the middle beige chair, enjoying the entropy.
Through the picture windows we can see out over the city to Trondheimsfjord and the hills beyond. In summer we are treated to spectacular sunsets, after 11 PM in June and July. But in winter the sun will set in early afternoon on the other side of the house!
The garage is essential--between us we have 4 bicycles, 3 kayaks, and at least 15 pairs of skis...
Just across the street is our local outdoor playground, Estanstadmarka, with excellent mountain biking, good hiking, a hytte that serves lunches, hot chocolate and Norwegian waffles and goat cheese...and many kilometers of lighted and unlighted ski trails to help keep us sane in the winter. Oh, and blueberries, raspberries, and mountain cranberries galore...
